My two fashion icons are Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn. Nothing beats a simple striped top with plain navy of black trousers. Only thing I wish is that I still had this hair. Went for the chop and chopped off far too much. Oh well, there are much worse things to cry over in life!

My great girlfriend Pat Couling was back in town and we decided that a beach hang in Santa Monica was the way to go followed by wine tasting at www.rosenthalestatewines.com in Malibu. Philosophy: Family first...

Nothing is more important to me than my family. Which is why I was so happy to have my family visit me recently. Our family has been through so much ups and downs in this last year that that's when you feel the really strength of a family pulling together. Steve and I are lucky in LA though as while all our immediate family in the UK we've made some great friends who feel like family here. In fact next weekend we're going camping with a few of them to Mt. Pinos which will no doubt be my next post. So here's to friends and family - may yours be happy and well too.

As I step back on the work wagon, I've been equipping myself with some nice work attire. The spending spree happened in a fancy mall in Bangkok - The dress is from Nine West (who knew they did dresses? I thought they just did shoes) and the shoes are a trusted favourite from Shanghai based designer Chloe Chen. The outfit made me feel all fit to get stuck back into Southwest biz niz. Travel: Frolicking in Catalina Island

To celebrate our legal anniversary Steve and I took to the water and headed over on the Catalina Express just an hour from Long Beach to the stunning island of Catalina. Great seafood meals and great times were had hiking, kayaking and chilling out to tunes at Descano Beach. A perfect get away. We camped at Hermit Gulch camping which wasn't luxury, but suited our needs just fine.
